Key Responsibilities:

• Spread asphalt onto the roofing surfaces with precision and care, ensuring a smooth and even application.
• Prepare surfaces for asphalt application by cleaning and levelling them, removing any debris or old roofing materials.
• Operate and maintain asphalt spreading equipment, ensuring it functions efficiently and safely.
• Coordinate with the roofing team to ensure timely and accurate asphalt application according to project specifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries on the job site.
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets Sussex Asphalte's quality standards and the client's expectations.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve asphalt application processes and techniques.

Experience:

• Proven experience as an Asphalt Spreader or similar role in the roofing or construction industry.
• Familiarity with asphalt spreading equipment and tools.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
