Modern slavery is a crime – a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms including slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking. All have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

Operating across Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, Kingsley Roofing delivers roof refurbishment, repairs and new-build roofing projects.

Our Supply Chains
We understand Modern Slavery is a potential risk in the Construction industry and recognise our own responsibility to do all we can to combat it. We will not knowingly support or deal with any business involved in modern slavery. We expect the same commitment from our business partners, contractors and suppliers.
Responsibilities
The Managing Director has overall responsibility for ensuring the policy complies with our legal and ethical obligations, and that all those under our control comply with it.Directors, Accounts & Payroll Manager and Business Unit Managers have primary responsibility for implementing this policy and any agreed initiatives.Everyone working for Kingsley, or on our behalf, has a responsibility to report any concerns. Management are expected to act on them.
Communication and Awareness of this policy
Training on this policy and the modern slavery risks our business faces forms part of the induction process. Updates are provided using our established communication methods.This statement is made pursuant to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and has been approved by the Managing Director of Kingsley Roofing. It will be reviewed at least once annually.
