As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of roofing projects, encompassing both pitched and flat roofing. Your role will involve working closely with the pre-construction and project teams, subcontractors, and various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your strong leadership and operational skills will be instrumental in driving project success and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with the pre-construction team to create project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company goals.
  • Efficiently allocate labour, equipment, and materials to project sites, optimising resource utilisation.
  • Establish and maintain quality control processes to ensure that all roofing projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
  • Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection, negotiation, and performance, ensuring timely and quality project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, addressing inquiries, concerns, and change orders.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures to maximise profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain accurate project records, prepare regular progress reports, and provide updates to senior management.

Experience:

  • You’ll be a natural leader, with proven experience gained within an Operations focused role gained within the Roofing Industry
  • Strong understanding of both pitched and flat roofing systems and materials.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management, quality control, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
